CEO, FOUNDER

Michael is involved in all aspects of Wavelength operations, working with the Retrofits and Distribution teams to continually improve the company’s unique combination of services.

Michael started the business in 2012, going door-to-door extolling the virtues of efficient lighting to retail and coffee shops when LEDs were in their infancy. Under his leadership, the Retrofit business has grown into the most sophisticated turnkey project operation in New York. The Distribution business, added to Wavelength’s capabilities in 2017 has grown into a top 10 NYC lighting distributor.

Michael and the team work every day to build trust with a wide array of partners - lighting agencies, contractors, Local 3 IBEW, among others - which allows Wavelength to support lighting and controls projects in ways our competition cannot.

Michael founded Wavelength after a career in clean energy finance and research, including at UBS and BloombergNEF. He founded Wavelength to help accelerate the transition to a decarbonized economy by improving access to energy-efficient lighting technology. He holds a BA in Economics from Middlebury College in Vermont.

SVP, RETROFITS

Catherine manages Wavelength’s Retrofits division, and is responsible for the successful implementation of some of New York City’s most challenging and highest profile LED lighting projects. Catherine’s expertise covers all project elements, from design and energy modeling to procurement, implementation, and commissioning.

Catherine has built strong partnerships with electrical contractors, equipment suppliers, and systems integrators. Her reach is unique in New York City, making her an invaluable partner to Wavelength’s real estate and corporate clients.

Prior to her work at Wavelength, Catherine worked as a writer and editor for publications including Vice Media and Fader. She graduated from Emerson College in Boston with a degree in Journalism.

VP, DISTRIBUTION

Yaron manages Wavelength’s Distribution division, putting Wavelength’s brand of hands-on lighitng project management into practice in the distribution world. In Yaron’s tenure at Wavelength, the Distribution business has become one of the premier distributors in the New York market, completing a wide range of project types in collaboration with the city’s biggest construction names.

Yaron’s estimating and project management groups have a reputation for relentless attention to detail and a willingness to roll up sleeves on site to educate the adjacent trades and to get jobs done right.

Prior to Wavelength, Yaron implemented IOT solutions for mechanical systems with Zero Energy Solutions. He holds an Environmental Engineering degree from the Israel Institute of Technology.
